Balanced Man Scholarship Instructions
The balanced man scholarship is awarded to UNC Chapel Hill incoming freshmen men who have shown a balance of mind and body during their time in high school. Applicants will be interviewed over the phone or in person, depending on their location, so that finalists can be decided before the end of July. On August 28th, 2008, all finalists will be invited to Sigma Phi Epsilon - NC Delta chapter's Balanced Man Scholarship banquet which will be held in the auditorium of the Student Union of UNC-Chapel Hill. Sigma Phi Epsilon - NC Delta is proud to announce that Roger Perry, chairman of UNC-Chapel Hill's board of trustees and a fellow Sigma Phi Epsilon - NC Delta alumni, will be guest speaking at this event!
In order to apply to the scholarship, download the application found below, fill it out, and send it to Michael Taylor at NCDeltaBMS@gmail.com before July 10th, 2008. Make sure the header of the email says "Balanced Man Scholarship" or it might get put in the spam folders.
